Eng v SL, 1st Test : Day 4 : Weather
Crappy English weather diminished the chance of a decent result in this Test match. After England looked likely to dominate, some gutsy batting from the Sri Lankans in Days 2 and 3 meant it was all about today. But bad light meant the full quota of overs weren’t bowled, and with torrential rain forecast for tomorrow, Sri Lanka look set to save this test. Jayawardene was the star of the Sri Lankan show, and although was out on a dodgy caught behind, it looks as though he did enough.
Sri Lanka will be hoping for rain, England hoping for sunshine in tomorrow’s final day.
