Four for none
England lost the ODI series against India in emphatic style by losing the 4th match in the series, and in a series made up of 7 matches, that means England are already losers. I doubt that there are any new words to describe the fairly dire situation that the England cricket team find themselves in. Now that the series is officially lost, I firmly believe the remaining three matches could be used as a testing ground for the England management. They should be working on the assumption that Vaughan and Giles are unlikely to feature in future England squads, that Simon Jones and Stephen Harmison are losing their edge, and even the likes of Trescothick and Bell have had a bad run of form lately. Suitable replacements could be drafted in to experiment with any of the new talent coming up through the ranks.
