Freddie Flintoff Benefit Year - Exclusive ticket giveaway

by SixandOut on October 18th, 2006

freddie flintoff

I could insult you and all and tell you exactly who Freddie Flintoff is but that would frankly be ridiculous. What I will tell you is that this year is Fred’s benefit year, and by gosh if it doesn’t coincide neatly with being in Australia. So what else is there to do but have not one but TWO ridiculously well-packed benefit meal type affairs where there’ll be a whole host of sporting personalities on show being funny and talking cricket. Crikey.

The evenings will incorporate a 3 course dinner, Q&A session with past and present English & Australian Cricketers and an opportunity to bat, bowl and field against crickets greatest. Freddie has already raised over $1.75 million for The Lord’s Taverners, Kirsty’s Appeal, CHASE – Ben Hollioake Fund, Leukaemia Research from his benefit year worldwide and is hoping to raise more funds for these charities as well as The Shane Warne Foundation in Australia.

Here are the details:

Monday 13 November – The Westin, No1 Martin Place, Sydney

  • Dressing Room drinks and Net Session 6.30pm – 7pm
  • Match Commences – Dinner Served 7pm / Carriages 11pm
  • Master of Ceremonies Alan Jones AO
  • Battle for the Ashes Debate with Bob Simpson, Brett Lee, Kevin Pietersen, Freddie & Friends moderated by Richie Benaud OBE
  • Celebrity Auctioneer Jeffery Archer
  • Special Guests Aaron O’Brian, Jonathan Agnew, 1948 Bradman Invincible - Neil Harvey, Tom Cooper, Matthew Hoggard, Grant Lambert, Stuart MacGill, Greg Matthews, Mike Whitney plus past and present members of the Australian, NSW and England cricket teams.

Tickets (all prices include GST): $250 per person, $2,500 per table of ten, $5000 per VIP Corporate Table (Includes a prominently positioned table of ten, ten tickets to attend the private VIP cocktail party with Andrew Flintoff, a full page advertisement in the dinner program, logo recognition in the dinner program and on the screens on the night)

Monday 20 November – The Gabba, Brisbane

  • Dressing Room drinks and Net Session 6.30pm – 7pm
  • Match Commences – Dinner Served 7pm / Carriages 11pm

  • Special Guests 1948 Bradman Invincibles – Bill Brown and Sam Loxton, Chris Hartley, Ian Healy, Tiffany Cherry, Neil Fairbrother, Matthew Hoggard, Hayley Lewis plus past and present members of the Australian, Queensland and England cricket teams.

Tickets (all prices include GST): $195per person, $1950 per table of ten, $5000 per VIP Corporate Table (Includes a prominently positioned table of ten, ten tickets to attend the private VIP cocktail party with Andrew Flintoff, a full page advertisement in the dinner program, logo recognition in the dinner program and on the screens on the night.)

So if you’ve ever wanted to be up close and personal with the man Freddie himself, and a host of other cricket peeps (including Richie!) then here’s your chance. These evenings promise to be truly top notch and would suit you on your own or you and all your business associates.

If you’re interested (and you should be) in tickets then contact Sophie Meredith at Marson Sparks! on the phone at 02 9699 2000 or email Sophie@marksonsparks.com. Please mention this blog when you book because she might give me more free stuff in the future (see below).

But wait, there’s more…

I’ve got two tickets to give away for the evening at the Gabba on the 20th November, two big fat tickets with a value of nearly $400 big ones. And they can be yours. ALL YOURS.

All you need to do is answer this ridiculously silly question:

Q. Andrew Flintoff’s well-known nickname is “Freddie”. But to whom is this nickname generally acknowledged to derive from?

A1. Fredericka Mendelbaum
A2. Fred Flintstone
A3. Right Said Fred

Answers on the back of an email to matt-t@b5media.com by 13th November. Winner will be picked randomly from a big (electronic) hat. Any blog that pingback/trackbacks this post gets entered as well. Good luck.

Please help me advertise this event and the compo by digging this entry.

* There is one small condition with entering this contest. Seeing as I can’t go and I’m through the goodness of my own heart offering them up here (sob sob) I would ask the lucky winner of the contest to do a writeup for this blog post event to say what happened and how things got on. Also, if you take some photos I’d love a few copies. Full credit will be given etc.
