Heads-up: Roy knows his game

by Dinsa Sachan on October 2nd, 2007

The only big news for today is that India lost to Australia  by 84 runs in the  second ODI at Kochi. The hosts were bundled out for 222 with 2.3 overs to spare in response to the touring team’s 307. Does 307 ring some bells? This was the same total put up by them in the first ODI that had been washed out.

Also….

Pakistan vs. South Africa 1st Test:

Pakistan 127 for 5 (Malik 9*, Rehman 1*, Harris 2-18) trail South Africa 450 (Kallis 155, de Villiers 77, Rehman 4-105) by 323 runs

Haddin might have walked away with the Man-of-the-Match with his 87 not-out, Symonds a.k.a  Roy collected an equal no.of runs. He might have generated blogger’s fury following his anti-India comments regarding the “over the top” celebrations, but he knows his game. And  I like him for that. And I ain’t  complaining about his unabashed tongue either. When you are getting good grades, you are allowed to be a tad bit naughty — at least, that’s what my teachers said.

So ozzies are one up.
