The monkey chants issue has been dissected to death by everyone. Every site and blog is talking about it. And people are harping on and on pointlessly. It’s got to the point of annoying me.

I am not one to take sides. Here’s my take: Monkey is a popular racist expletive used against Blacks. Proof. So if the crowds did bawl that word at Roy, they were in the wrong. That was racist. That’s not cricket. FYI: He’s a Black. I think it would help if Roy opened up to it and told us what the exact words were. Oh, and does he understand Hindi? It’s very unlikely of the crowds to be abusing a player in their second language. Uh yeah, Lee. Brett Lee. I am sure he translated for him.

Moving on….

The authorities are talking about taking action. Against who? The culprits are gone, mah dear. I think they would be better off brainstorming measures to prevent this from happening in the future.
