If all else fails, beat their A side
The England A squad against Pakistan at Canterbury:
Robert Key (capt), Alastair Cook, Ian Bell, Owais Shah, Ravinder Bopara, Jamie Dalrymple, Alex Loudon, Chris Read (wk), Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Matthew Hoggard
The England team has changed so much in the last year or so, that I’m a little foggy on the precise details, but of that team, only Stuart Broad and Ravinder Bopara have not played in the full England side. Maybe Owais Shah? Needless to say, after the drubbing the Pakistani’s dished out on England earlier in the year in Pakistan, England have seized the chance to boost a little confidence by fielding a strong side for the final match before the Test series starts next week.
Let’s hope they don’t have to wait for it to get dark again just so they can scrape a win. God I hope they don’t lose.
