Leicestershire take Twenty20 title

What a day! Finals day is always a fun time - three games of the rapid-paced Twenty20 in one day. The two semi-finals were fairly uneventful - Leicestershire seeing off a below-par Essex in the the first semi-final, with Nottinghamshire beating Surrey in the second. The final though, went right to the wire. In a game that could have easily gone either way, Leicestershire did just enough, by taking vital wickets in the closing stages to see off home-side Notts, and claim their 2nd Twenty20 title. Despite the silly names, Twenty20 cricket has really established it as a valid form of one day cricket.
