Six and Out - Some Serious Cricket

Melbourne: Preview

by SixandOut on December 25th, 2006

Well here we are. The 4th Test of the series, and whilst it is dead rubber, both sides still have something to play for. Australia are keen to continue their hunt for the whitewash whereas England are looking to stop the rot and try and prove their worth. The predicted change in the side has occurred - Chris Read has replaced Geraint Jones but other than that both teams are presenting unchanged sides.

England have won the toss and elected to bat, a brave choice in my opinion but it might be a sign of the confidence we hope to see the boys eminate.

100,000 people in the MCG, now that’s an atmosphere.

Despite the state of the series, I’m genuinely excited. I want to see some good cricket, I want to see England come back from the previous failures. Ooh, butterflies.

Bring it on.
