Shaky start to 2nd test
2nd Test match, India vs England, Trent Bridge
Fickle weather in England looks set to completely disrupt the 2nd test between England and India. Day 1 didn’t get underway until 1500 and by close of play, England had managed to lose 7 wickets for a mere 170 rus. The Indian bowling was of a reasonable standard with a handful of unplayable deliveries, but really, the day was characterised by most batsmen getting a start but lacking the concentration and application needed to go and get a big score. Day 2 is likely to be disrupted similarly, with more rain forecast (not that the forecasts really mean a great deal at the moment) and with Tremmers and Sideshow Bob at the crease, it oughtn’t be long before India are batting. Considering how the ball is swinging, thanks mainly to the big clouds overhead and the decidedly soggy field conditions, England’s seam bowlers, in particular Siders, should enjoy themselves.
One low scoring game, coming up.

India are in a great position to go 1-0 up… though I’ve no idea what the weather holds in store. England missed out at Lords and it may cost them the series. What is going on with the batting? Well played India though, they may feast tomorrow (depending on how it finishes tonight of course)
