What happened today?
1. Sri Lanka 269 for 7 (Jayawardene 66) beat England 150 (Cook 46, Maharoof 4-31) by 119 runs in the first ODI of England’s tour of Sri Lanka. How many of you think Luke Wright would have made a difference?
2. Cricket South Africa have warned their players against joining ICL. What’s at stake: Their domestic and international career. Wow, another blow to Subhash Chandra. I think he seriously needs some introspection.
3. South Africa 294 for 3 (Kallis 118*, Amla 71, Hafeez 1-40) v Pakistan in the first test. Steady start.
4. Hearing of Darrel Hair’s case begins in London. I am not interested in this at all. If you are, here’s the low-down.

A businessman like Subhash Chandra cannot afford to be introspecting. His idea is genius and the advantage he has is of first blood. The first ICL will certainly draw huge crowds and viewership. Then he can think about not having a second edition, but I doubt it. These people have money making as priority and no matter what, SC will make money out of ICL
