Woolmer: Not murdered?

by SixandOut on June 12th, 2007

The farce that is the investigation in to the death of Bob Woolmer looks set to get even worse today with a press conference that is expected to say that Woolmer actually wasn’t murdered after all and he instead died of natural causes. The news follows an investigation by Scotland Yard in to the findings of the West Indian pathologist who conducted the analysis of the post mortem and pathology tests.

Now, I’m no expert, but it seems fairly obvious to me that saying a death is murder is a pretty serious thing and that you only say it if you’re absolutely, 100%, completely and utterly, no mistakes, this-IS-how-it-IS sure. To spark a murder investiation, to cause further pain and heartache to friends and family and all the other negative things that have happened is a big fat no-no. The fact that the claim was made in a high profile case like this has not helped matters at all, but it seems likely that the career of the Doctor who made the claims (Dr Ere Seshaiah) is effectively over.

About the only positive side to this ridiculous investigation is that things are gradually getting closer to some sort of conclusion which will finally allow the saga to be put to bed. I just hope Pakistan don’t get their knickers in a twist again and try and sue somebody for being questioned as part of the investigation.

—UPDATE—

And yes - after the press release came, that actually Woolmer was not murdered, Imran Khan was out in the news saying how the PCB should sue somebody, anybody over the indignation of being suspected of the murder. Ridiculous.

I hate being right.

You are absolutely correct. Professional people cannot just go around making such conclusions that have such great import as if they are working on whim and not from a trained, learned background. Heads should roll on their own volition on this matter. I kinda suspected that somone or some persons were not quite sure what they were up to from the very begining so I am not in the least bit surprised at this new twist. How can trained professionals be vascillating like that?

So the ICC got what they wanted in the end, when the news first broke about the murder it was sugested that the verdict would be changed and everything covered up, suprise suprise it happened.

Now the terrorist state, Pakistan, is shouting loudly and wanting to sue, with the biggest cheater of all Imran Khan shouting from the front.

Bob was murded no doubt and somewhere along the line Hansi Cronjes murderers had a hand in this one.

It might come out one day, but doubtfully what a pity. Cricket is run by greed and murder and I am fast loosing interest

    Richard:

FYI: Hansie Cronje wasn’t murdered; he died in an aircrash.
